WHAT IS SAFE + SOUND?

The Safe + Sound program is a nationwide initiative designed to encourage every workplace to establish a proactive safety and health program. It’s not just a one-time event; it’s a year-round campaign that emphasizes the crucial link between workplace safety, business performance, and a thriving workforce.

OSHA’S PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THREE CORE ELEMENTS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL FOR BUILDING A TRULY EFFECTIVE SAFETY CULTURE:

Management Leadership: Leaders must be committed to safety and set a positive example. This means providing the necessary resources, openly communicating about safety goals, and making it clear that safety is a top priority.

Worker Participation: The people on the front lines often know the most about potential hazards. A successful safety program empowers workers to identify risks, report concerns without fear of retaliation, and actively participate in creating solutions.
