Strengthening Safer Workplaces: Free May Training Opportunities Through PATHS

Offered through the Pennsylvania Training for Health and Safety (PATHS) program, these sessions align with key national safety observances, including electrical safety, slips/trips/falls prevention, water safety, and Mental Health Awareness Month. Whether you’re looking to reinforce compliance, reduce workplace incidents, or build a culture of safety, these trainings are a smart investment of your time.

PATHS is a statewide initiative designed to give employers and workers easy access to cost-effective safety resources. • May 6: Electrical Hazards – Construction (11:00–12:00 p.m.)
• May 12: OVR – Service, Emotional Support, and Therapy Animals (1:30–2:30 p.m.)
• May 13: ARC Flash Safety (11:00–12:00 p.m.)
• May 19: Active Shooter Training (10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)
  Offered in partnership with the Pennsylvania Capitol Police, this session focuses on response strategies and preparedness in critical situations.
• May 26: Heat-Related Injuries & Illnesses (9:30–10:30 a.m.)
• May 27: Boating Safety (11:00–12:00 p.m.)

Certified Workplace Safety Committee (CWSC) Training

For organizations maintaining or establishing a Certified Workplace Safety Committee, PATHS also offers dedicated sessions:

• May 5: CWSC Member Training (9:30–10:30 a.m.)
• May 14: CWSC Member Training (1:30–2:30 p.m.)
• May 20: CWSC Member Training (11:00–12:00 p.m.)
• May 27: CWSC Member Training (1:30–2:30 p.m.)
